3D Printing with Metals
June 17, 2015
3D printing has some limitations and is generally used with plastics, but University of Twente has recently found a way to use metal in the process. A research team achieved this by stacking microscopic metal droplets and melting them into a thin film with the use of a pulsed laser. With the capability to conduct electricity and heat, the use of metal in 3D printing might open up huge possibilities.
